³ And when the centurion heard of Jesus, he sent to him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him to come and heal his servant. ⁴ And they came to Jesus and besought him urgently, saying, He is worthy that you should do this for him, ⁵ for he loves our nation, and has built us a synagogue.
